Arya Stark has been through quite the transformation on Game of Thrones. She’s gone from a young tomboy playing with swords, to trained assassin seeking revenge. This is why I’m surprised she is reigniting the tension with her older sister Sansa.
Is she really falling for Littlefinger’s manipulation? I would have thought she’d matured by now after her time with the Faceless Men and be wise enough to know she can trust her own sister after everything that’s happened – that she NEEDS to trust her, especially since they’re finally REUNITED!
It almost seemed like Arya would be willing to kill Sansa if she really believed that Sansa would betray Jon. This made me wonder, Who is left on Arya’s kill list? The season premiere ticked the name Walder Frey from her list, but who else is left? And, will she continue to pursue them if given the opportunity?
So, here is who is left on Arya’s kill list:
Although I’d love to see the end of Cersei in this season, I don’t think it’s going to happen until the last season, and I don’t think it’s going to be Arya who does it. The Valonqar Prophecy predicts that a “little brother” will strangle Cersei to death.
If The Mountain is alive, I don’t realistically see Arya having the opportunity to kill him, especially in his mute, zombie-esque state. Also, the Cleganebowl Theory is rooting for a Hound vs Mountain showdown. The Hound was on her list, but she got her revenge on him already by leaving him stranded and wounded after his fight with Brienne.
The Red Woman
Melisandre made the list after she took Gendry to be used as a sacrifice. As far as Arya knows, Gendry is dead, but I’m hoping for a reunion soon since Arya is at Winterfell (for now) and Gendry should be heading back soon with Jon. In “The Queen’s Justice”, Melisandre tells Varys that she will die in this land. Perhaps she has seen her own death in the flames at the hand of Arya.
Beric is the one who sold Gendry to Melisandre, so he is on the list. Thoros of Myr was also on the list for the same reason, but we now know he dies north of the wall after a zombie-bear attack.
This is the man who actually performed Ned Stark’s execution. He hasn’t been in the series since season two due to the actor being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer.
Who’s not on the list anymore:
Removed from the list after Arya left him for dead.
Killed by Arya after being fed a pie made from his kin.
Killed by Arya in Braavos for killing her former instructor Syrio Forel.
Poisoned at his wedding feast by Olenna Tyrell.
Shot on the pot by his son Tyrion.
Killed by Arya by being stabbed through the neck with her sword Needle in season four after he did the same to her friend Lommy.
